Art meets interiors as we pick out some must have accessories for your home this Autumn. Artists and Designer makers are a great place to get that special something to build a look around and we want to introduce you to two of the best out there right now.
Beautiful mirror or portal to another universe. Based in Copenhagen, the home of beautiful design, Anne Nowak is certainly on another spiritual plane when it comes to her art and accessories for interiors. There is no denying that this piece is a stunner. It comes in various colours, ships worldwide and it will add impact to any space – what’s not to love. So much more than a mirror.
Links to follow at the end of this post. But not before we intro you to our next bright young thing, creating more out of this world items to give your home that something special.
Not only is James a totally lovely man, he is also a true original, creating pieces that defy your expectations about what a material can do. His latest work uses plastic and a piece of equipment that looks like it should be held by Ellen Ripley to fight the Queen Alien (watch the iconic film Aliens and you will know what we mean), his amazing extruding gun. He makes sculptural objects that are one of a kind and so playfully elegant.
So good to see new designers looking at materials in new ways to help us find ways of working with waste materials like plastic and make them beautiful. We couldn’t resist his blue candlesticks. They will be with us for life now and we keep getting comments on them whenever friends come over.
We’ve accessorised this look with a cute candy pink David mug by Bespoke Barware, that works perfectly as a small vase for the person with flowers on the brain. The backdrop is our own Fragment wallpaper design in wild rose with hand applied metallic layer, available to buy here.
The Table cloth is a fabric called Chimay by Designers Guild in this gorgeous dusky pink called Tuberose (Anna Wintour’s favourite flower no less), we hemmed a piece of the fabric to match our curtains in the dining room. The pink candles are from the wonderful Ben Pentreath on Lamb’s Conduit Street.
