How to wrap presents with hand finished wallpaper
the handmade touch always adds care and love to any gift...and we've made it easy for you with a no waste idea.
You will need: Ribbons or string in various colours of your choosing a roll of plain white textured wallpaper (this was £5 for 10m) a can of gold spray paint scissors pinecones florists wire tape a gold pen
the wrapping paper unifies all your gifts so you can pick a variety of ribbons and gold tapes etc to embellish your presents.
Lay out a roll of the wallpaper flat on the ground in a well ventilated area, lay your pinecones out evenly spaced and spray them with a light dusting of gold spray. Don't worry that the excess is getting on the paper below, that's what you want.
then once they are dry put the pine cones to one side to use later and take a look at your handmade textured wallpaper with gold pine cone silhouettes.
Tie the ribbons around the wrapping to help keep the wallpaper in place (it's thicker that most wrapping paper and needs a little help to stay in place - as if you needed an excuse to use ribbon)
Using the wire, add a gold pine cone to some of the gifts, they don't have to go on every gift, do what works for you.
Use a gold pen to write directly onto the paper with name the gift is for and a message if you want. Keep it simple.
Then layer them up under your tree with all their uniqueness and let the paper tie it all together with a simple through line. These are sure to put a smile on someone's face.
We hope this helps you to get through any last minute wrapping with style, but always remember, the greatest gift is you and a big smile x Happy Christmas x
